The ten years of Taste, the salon of the excellence of taste

Returns to Florence Taste, from Saturday 7 Monday 9 March 2015, the show dedicated to the excellence of taste, Italian lifestyle and design of the table. It promises to be a year full of events to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the event in the year of the Expo.
Conceived in collaboration with Pitti Immagine with gastronauta Davide Paolini, Pitti Taste will present products and news about 320 Companies, selected among the best productions of niche and specialist from all over Italy at the Stazione Leopolda and in Alcatraz, with a special setting designed by architect Alessandro Moradei. Here is the menu in stages proposed by Taste:
Taste Tour is the path tasting of the products presented by 320 participating companies, for learning more about the culinary riches of our country.
Taste Tools is the area devoted to objects of food & kitchen design, to all the tools of the chef but also to those who love being in the kitchen.
Taste Shop is the exclusive food store – over 1.700 products in the catalog and over 23.000 units sold in the last edition – where to buy the products displayed and tasted during the journey.
Taste Ring & Taste Events, the cultural-gastronomic arena orchestrated by Davide Paolini, the Gastronauta, the place of debates and ideas in which the protagonists of the world food challenge on the most curious linked to contemporary table, to food and taste.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Taste MINI will be present on the first floor of Alcatraz area with a special lounge - the 5 Coffee, where you can enjoy 5 different types of coffee and chocolates.
A Taste will be staged also an explosion of creativity signed Glassware Etrusca, company that produces a wide range of bottles and jars for food use. Glassware Etruscan will star in a spectacular installation of bottles that will welcome visitors at the entrance of the Stazione Leopolda. The project construction will be edited by Alessandro Moradei.
Sunday 8 March at 12.00, nell’area Taste Ring, debuts Golden Tablet Award. The Stazione Leopolda, the edition 2015 ( the 13 °) will see on stage the best chocolatiers in Italy, selected by the Company of Chocolate, the association of reference for consumers and lovers of “Food of the Gods”, which protects the consumer, verifying the quality of the products. The award ceremony will be chaired by Gilberto Mora, National President of the Society of Chocolate. These categories in race: “milk and milk high percentage of cocoa”, “dark chocolate and cocoa of origin”, “flavored and spicy”, “gianduja”, “cream spalmabili”, “fruits and candied covered”, “praline” and, finally, “Modica”.
The exhibition "SWEET AND THIN TRUMP BENDING"Palazzo Pitti: cculture in sugar and napkins for wedding in Florence Maria de 'Medici (10 March – 7 June), an event at the EXPO 2015. Curated by Giovanna Giusti and Riccardo Spinelli, and dedicated to the commemoration of the banquet held at Palazzo Vecchio on the evening of 5 October 1600 for wedding in Florence Maria de 'Medici, the exhibition will also see the special collaboration between Pitti Immagine and the Palatine Gallery Pitti Palace, directed by Matteo Ceriana: Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 March, from 15.30 to 19.30, for Exhibitors, buyers and the press accredited at Taste will be the opportunity to visit the exhibition preview, submitting your entry ticket to the salon. Also at the show, and the ten years of Taste, Pitti Immagine collaborated on the special film creating the Ephemeral, making of a work dedicated to the Foundry Judge - ancient Florentine artistic foundry – which will realize the sculptures in sugar, and that of the masterful folding napkins artist Joan Sallas, that for the exhibition in Palazzo Pitti elaborated previously the extraordinary creations that were developed for the historic banquet.
A Taste will be presented a special collection of aprons produced by inmates of the prison in Lecce in the project Made in Jail, made by the non-profit Creative Workshop founded by Luciana Women, and that will involve for the occasion the students of Fashion Design of the Italian Academy of Florence.
Back the FUORIDITASTE: taste light up the city, to discover the products taste. The FuoriDiTaste every season manages to animate Florence and its most famous places with dinners, themed tastings, installations, shows and creative performances, debates and so many new ways of interpreting the convivial food and taste. A program of about 150 appointments that record a success and a growing participation, and that every year of surprises.

The opening hours of TASTE: for the industry and for the audience of fans
To make easier the job fair of the industry, Taste them reserve a time slot dedicated entirely: on the morning of Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 MARCH, HOURS 9.30 THE HOURS 13.30.
From 13.30 to 19.30 and Monday from 9.30 to 16.30, entrance open to the public.
Entrance ticket: 20 € for the public - 15 € for operators in the sector.
