Rosso del Conte 2010 – DOC County Sclafani, a selection of Nero d'Avola, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Created in 1970, Rosso del Conte was the first Sicilian wine to be recognized internationally as one of the best Italian red wines for aging. Conceived and created by Giuseppe Tasca d'Almerita is an expression of the wine estate Regaleali among the hills in the center of Sicily.
Vintage ideal for viticulture, the 2010 It started with a good winter rainfall, than reconstituting water supplies crucial to the development of the screws in the Mediterranean climate. The course has also produced a seasonal cool weather in the spring and summer, without those tips very hot at times that are recorded in Sicily. Rosso del Conte 2010 – DOC County Sclafani, a selection of Nero d’Avola, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes. Created in 1970, Rosso del Conte has been the first Sicilian wine to be internationally recognized as one of the best vintage red wines of Italy. Wanted and created by Count Giuseppe Tasca d’Almerita, a passionate and tenacious man, it is an expression of the Regaleali wine estate, located among the hills in the middle of Sicily.
2010 was an ultimate vintage for grape growing, the year started with a good quantity of rain during winter, reforming the fundamental water reserves for the development of the vines in a Mediterranean climate. During the next seasons, spring and summer, the climate has been fresh, without any extreme hot moments that sometimes can happen in Sicily. The lack of rain during maturation guaranteed excellent healthy grapes. The red grapes matured perfectly, without any excessive concentration and with great balance.
This vintage will be remembered for the longevity of its wines.
