The writer, photographer and filmmaker Puglia Carlos Solito Launches "A Piccolli Steps, Settimana Santa in Puglia”, the new photographic project dedicated to his homeland from 12 April of 6 May 2014 at the Diocesan Museum of Taranto. It is a slow journey, timeless, the fact that in their infinite centimeters, felt, old, make painful sum Holy Week in Puglia.
During the day Thursday, Friday and Holy Saturday, up to Easter Sunday, Devotees, addolorate, penitenti, hooded slow down their metabolism, to devote, encourages and body, slow, in small steps (hence the title of the photo exhibition) the age-old feeling of faith. The exhibition proposes, one click at a time, floor plan, as the gait of a procession, the main phases of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Christ for the different urban realities investigated: Taranto to start and then Grottaglie, Pulsate, Castellaneta, Francavilla Fontana. Each center, unique traditions, proposed, essentially, the pieces that make up the puzzle together for the reading of the rituals of Holy Week in this corner of Puglia. Timid gestures of faith, admiring glances, vigils and prayers build a reportage black and white full of pathos that traces the nuances of light and shade and a neo-realism throughout southern.
