The new chair of S'mesh Diemmebi

In February the company Venetian Diemmebi put into production existing S'mesh on study design Alberto Basaglia and Natalia Rota Nodari.
On the occasion of the imminent arrival of MADE expo 2015, Fuori Salone and the big event EXPO2015, the 10 March 2015 the Italian company, in collaboration with the Foundation Achille Castiglioni will start the first NON-COMPETITION DESIGN to strengthen the intrinsic value of the chair design and stimulate the international scenario on the free interpretation and reuse of a design classic Italian.
The invitation is addressed not only to the professions and businesses girlfriends historical Diemmebi, but rather, especially to fans, creative and enthusiastic young people who have the interest and the desire to create an original and innovative proposal of interpretation of the back of the chair S'mesh.
Diemmebi will provide 50 structures of the back at the headquarters of the Foundation Achille Castiglioni Milan. Each registered participants may pick 1 basic model for the project to be submitted by 31 December 2015.
The Foundation in recent years has involved, in its initiatives, many insiders, students of various ages and ordinary people in order to arouse the curiosity, the interest and desire to observe our surroundings critically and be partakers of the design process that lies behind every object. For this reason the project “DRESS YOUR CHAIR” is interesting because it represents a new way to start also with non-experts, a path as creative as dialectical can return embodiments that come from different backgrounds and experiences.
A jury of Friends of the Foundation Achille Castiglioni – industry experts and not - will select, with Diemmebi, interpretations most interesting to be then inserted in a publication. The award ceremony will take place later in March 2016.

S'mesh born as a visitor and meeting chair qualify for office environments, coupling the elegant comfort of the backrest into the network by the innovative system of coupling to the practice versatility of a frame made of steel wire, prelude to countless possibilities for customization.
Has a perimeter structure in steel rod, seat and back are in propylene flame retardant in white black and gray. The network of the back is available in black, white, gray, green, red, blue and beige.
