The Giura the Award Sulla '49 – composed by Piero Bevilacqua, Francesco Maria Greco, Renato Greco, Roman Luper, Marta Petrusewicz, Anna Salvo, Emanuele Trevi, Massimo Veltri and the president Amedeo Di Maio – announced the winners of the third edition, which will take place in Cosenza by 20 to the 22 November. Born in 1949, Award Sila is one of the oldest literary awards Italians who came back on the national scene three years ago, retaining its original vocation: promote works attentive to the reality and importance of civil.
The award ceremony will be held Saturday 22 November in Cosenza, Palazzo Arnone, pm 18.00. Conducts serata Paride Leporace.
The One Premio '49, directed by Gemma Cestari with the artistic collaboration, technical and organization of the Società Cooperativa Cluster, is sponsored by the Foundation Award Silas, and is divided in three sections: Section Literature, Section Business and Society, the "look from afar" dedicated to essays and works created by foreign authors that have on the South. In addition there are special prizes the jury awards to authors or works out of the competition they have a significant impact on the cultural life of national and international. The prize is working with the Library Ubik of Cosenza in the promotion of reading and the selection of a committee of readers.
Winners: Giorgio Falco The gemella with H (Einaudi) he won the Literature; Jean-Paul Fitoussi with the theorem of the streetlight (Einaudi) he won the Economy and Society; John Anthony Davis con Napoli e Napoleone (Rubbettino) won the Special Prize "look from afar".
The Special Award for Lifetime Achievement goes to Salvatore Settis On Friday 21 novembre alle ore 17,30 – Palazzo Arnone, Cosenza – held a lecture entitled "Right to the City and democracy".
