Innanzitutto, tell us a little about yourself and your splendid Milan women's accessories boutique.
I am a Milanese Fashion Buyer and Shoes Designer born and raised on the Navigli and if I had to choose three adjectives to define myself with they would be: creative, determined and passionate. I think creativity is the basis of my work. I also believe that it takes determination to achieve any result and I certainly don't have time problems if I have set myself a goal to achieve. “Passionate” because I do the job I've always wanted to do even though, I have to admit it, involves sacrifices.
The “Daniele Giovani Milano” Boutique was founded in 2014, a special period during the fervor of the Expo and the renovation of the nearby Darsena. It is located in the heart of Corso Genova, to the number 13. I wanted to recreate the historical concept of the boutique as a precious and captivating place but in a more current version. Also, it is a true "creative laboratory" of Made in Italy. A relaxing environment where you can choose shoes, bags, perfumes and accessories from historic and research brands with a high stylistic and artisanal content, as an expression of the creative ability that only Made in Italy possesses. Where does your passion for fashion come from?, particularly, per il Fashion Buying?
My passion for fashion is innate: For as long as I can remember I have always loved the arts and beauty. Fashion allows us to transform our body and our appearance by creating communicative messages. Accessories, like shoes or bags, they become extensions of ourselves. If the tattoo is indelible, fashion allows us to transform ourselves at any moment according to our mood, occasions or fashions… Style, the colors and brands we use give us the possibility of entering a "world" of values to which we want to belong. My passion for Fashion Buying, instead, was born from the desire to create my own "language" starting from the other "languages" of the various brands so that they come together to create something new, not just the pure sum of it. I have always loved "mixing" things to "create", like when a painter mixes the colors of his palette.
I graduated in "Fashion Design" at the Polytechnic of Milan, in Bovisa. I subsequently obtained a Master's Degree in “Brand Strategy and Communication, fashion and design" at IULM where I studied the "intangible" part of fashion linked to its communicative value. I then completed my studies at the Polytechnic of Milan obtaining a University Master's Degree in "Accessory Design". I am happy with the studies I have done, I would do them again if I went back.
We know your first shoe collection is coming... tell us about it?
It is a set of precious and refined artisanal works of art, such as sandals, sabot, décolleté, flat e sneakers, unit with a red wire: the seductive immateriality of light that takes shape through the preciousness of leather. Hence the name Metafore di Luce che, thanks to the skilful use of precious materials with bright and iridescent reflections, recalls the amazement that certain sunrises or sunsets arouse when the sky is tinged with golden reflections. The color gold, with timeless charm, recalls energy, il movimento, the opening towards the outside and accompanies us in the search for new goals. What it was like to present Metafore di Luce at the Monte Carlo Fashion Week?
My first collection 2023, with a timeless flavour, it is called “Metaphors of Light” and was launched at the Opéra de Monaco, in Place du Casino, during the Monte Carlo Fashion Week shows under the patronage of Princess Charléne of Monaco.
It was an event that moved me very much also thanks to the presence, as guest of honour, of
Eleonora Pedron who has lived in the Principality for some time.
Perfect place to present the collection, beyond for its glamour, the Opérà overlooks the sea and the models walked on the stage facing the infinite colors of the sky and sea water.
Also, was presented to buyers at CREM (Club of Foreign Residents of Monaco) and then the 27 May at the Grimaldi Forum, durante il celebre Amber Lounge Monaco Charity Fashion Show 2022 in Avenue Princesse Grace 10, where my shoes paraded with Pauline Ducruet's ALTER clothing collection, daughter of Princess Stéphanie of Monaco, as well as nephew of Grace Kelly.
Tell us some anecdotes or curiosities?
The search for a truly current concept was not easy because we live in a particular era where "eras" rapidly alternate depending on the news we hear on the news. Many creatives wanted to celebrate the "joy of living" but, has my opinion, the concept that most reflects contemporaneity is enhancing the preciousness of light understood as life, energia, movimento, viaggio, splendor, preciousness but also survival and savings. A timeless concept that fully reflects the era we are living in.

Metafore di luce is aimed at a woman who loves to enrich her style with sophisticated accessories, who appreciates details and wants to stand out with class: a romantic and cosmopolitan woman who opposes the obvious, a woman who wants to please and be liked. The collection is varied and inclusive: sandals, sabot, décolleté, flat e sneakers. A perfect collection to pair with a cocktail, at an event or simply to impress. Also, the color palette is bright and neutral so it can be easily combined.
The reasons, then, there are many but if I had to summarize I would say: for the refinement of the finishes and the
