Paolo Nutini back with a new album that shows his maverick talent and his incredible vocal ability, qualities that go far beyond just its 27 years of age.
Out today 15 Aprile by Atlantic Records, CAUSTIC LOVE contains original songs written by Paul and mostly produced by himself and by Dani Castelar. The album was recorded in Valencia, London, Glasgow and the United States and comes nearly five years after 'Sunny Side Up’ and goes straight to the heart with a heady mix of soul and funk.
In addition to the first single, “Scream (Funk My Life Up)”, APR and defend, certainly worthy of mention are the epic "Iron Sky" which contains a monologue from the "Big Dittarore" by Charlie Chaplin, la rythm&blues “One day”, la spavalda “Let me down easy”, la toccante “Better man”, “Looking for something” dedicata alla madre e la bellissima “Fashion” cantata con Janelle Monae.
Paul, which has sold over 5 million albums worldwide, has exploded onto the music scene in the world 2006 with a very pop album, “These Streets”, selling 1,5 million copies in the UK alone. Three years later takes a new musical direction with the acclaimed 'Sunny Side Up'. Nominated for Brits, winner of an Ivor Novello Award, Paul is the male artist who has sold the most in the United Kingdom 2009 and 2010.
