The branded Italian coffee Caffè Corsini runs on the international market thanks to Melitta Group. The partnership is born that wants to spread the quality of Made in Italy coffee more and more in the world. At the heart of the cooperation between Caffè Corsini, leading company in the food sector & beverage, founded in Arezzo in 1950, and the German multinational Melitta Group, internationally active family-owned group with over 100 years of tradition (in 2020 a turnover of 1,7 billions of euros e 5890 employees), the agreement to maintain governance and production in the historic plant in the province of Arezzo in Italy.
A strategic agreement, which sees the acquisition by the German group of 70% of the shares of Corsino Corsini Spa, with the aim of bringing roasting to grow on the market, consolidating the presence across borders. The compatibility of two companies with strong roots in an important family history is strong, similar in corporate philosophy and culture. The goal is to strengthen each other and grow together, developing new products and strategies.
“Melitta Group seeks to increase its business through excellence in the area. Our partnership opens up numerous new perspectives and opportunities for both of us”, said Patrick Hoffer, at the helm of Caffè Corsini since 2004, who remains CEO of the company. “We want to grow and strengthen our respective market positions, especially abroad. With our different product portfolios and respective territorial focuses, we complement each other very well and can achieve much more together than we could alone. The production as well as the entire management of the company remains in Badia Al Pino, without any repercussions on the corporate entity. There will be no management interference, least of all staff reviews, on the contrary: the goal is to grow and create new jobs. It is no coincidence that Melitta chose us, so rooted in the territory”. The production will remain independent and the operational base will remain the historic headquarters in the province of Arezzo.
“We can't wait to work with Caffé Corsini“, commented Jero Bentz, member of the Chief Corporate Management of the Melitta Group. “Just like us, Caffè Corsini is a family-owned company with a long tradition and very high product standards. We are united by a great passion for coffee. That is why we are a perfect match in terms of strategic orientation, corporate culture and values. Our experience has shown many times that these are the best conditions for a successful future together”.
The Melitta Group deals with development, production and sale of branded products for coffee consumption, for storing and preparing food and for cleaning the house. It owes its name to Melitta Bentz, the German housewife from Dresden who in 1908 invented the first coffee filter. More information onwww.melitta-group.com.
