Da sempre il BRAF accoglie opere dall’antichità al contemporaneo ma in questa edizione sono ben 19 i professionisti che si occupano di Pittura del XX secolo, insieme a 13 gallerie specializzate in Arti Decorative del ‘900 e 2 esperti di Fumetti e Disegni d’autore.
Fra questi lo stesso Presidente della Foire des Antiquaires de Belgique proporrà opere di Delvaux e Magritte, mentre da Pascal Lansberg si supera la metà del secolo per trovare Anwy Warhol. La parigina Galerie Tamenaga propone alcuni lavori del contemporaneo Tom Christopher.

New entry tutta italiana per le arti decorative del XX secolo con la galleria milanese Robertaebasta. Tra gli espositori confermati per l’edizione 2014 del BRAFA Futur Anterieur propone una selezione di design italiano e francese del dopoguerra, while 88 Gallery espone arredi dei fratelli Campana, di Pietro Chiesa e Marc Cavell.
Cento Anni, instead, propone mobili e oggetti di inizio secolo, principalmente Art Nouveau e Art Deco.

Per completare un ideale weekend dedicato all’arte del ‘900 il Musées Royaux des Beaux-Arts (www.fine-arts-museum.be) ospita, in contemporanea con BRAF e fino al 9 March 2014, l’esposizione La scultura dopo il 1945, una selezione di opere dei principali artisti europei e statunitensi del Dopoguerra tra cui Christo, Richarl Long, Henry Moore e Giuseppe Penone.
