A scegliere il lungometraggio, che ha meglio affrontato e rappresentato il tema dei diritti umani, e’ stata una giuria speciale, composta da quattro ragazzi di una classe Amnesty Kids! della scuola secondaria di I grado A. Balzico di Cava de’ Tirreni (SADDLE), for the following reasons: ‘per il significato dell’amicizia, per l’impareggiabile ruolo che essa ha nella difesa dei diritti umani fondamentali, per l’integrazione che promuove tra culture diverse – di gran lunga piu’ profonda di quella data dalla semplice tolleranza. In maniera commovente, questa storia ricorda che ‘l’amicizia non ha limiti’e che se le persone le dessero piu’ valore il mondo cambierebbe: sarebbe migliore’.

Per il terzo anno la Sezione Italiana di Amnesty International ha consegnato il premio ‘Amnesty Corto Giffoni Film Festival’, nell’edizione 2012 conferito a ‘Heimatland’ diLoretta Arnold, Andrea Schneider, Marius Portmann and Fabio Friedli(Switzerland, 2010).
This year the award was chosen by a special jury composed of sympathizers and supporters of Amnesty International of Agro Nocerino Sarnese with the following motivation,,it,'For the great universal message against xenophobia enclosed in just six minutes,,it,for the great attention to detail,,it,for the extreme simplicity of understanding and creative genius',,it,Amnesty Giffoni Film Festival 2012SCENARIO,,it: ‘per il grande messaggio universale contro la xenofobia racchiuso in soli sei minuti, per la grande cura dei particolari, per l’estrema semplicita’di comprensione e per il genio creativo’.
